Re: Favorite horror-themed TV shows

I enjoyed Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, and Kolchak: the Night Stalker (when I eventually caught the re-runs.)

I think Amazing Stories, and of course Jim Henson's The Storyteller, had a few horror-themed episodes as well.

Re: What are you Watching?

Started watching Genesis Climber Mospeada. About five episodes in, and really enjoying the character interactions. Also been watching Super Dimension Century Orguss. Almost finished with that series, but I think I'm having more fun watching Mospeada. Maybe it's the transforming motorcycles, or the w...

Re: What are you Watching?

Did you all know that there's a new version of Heroic Legend of Arslan? It's coming on in an hour from now, on my SBS channel. I own the original complete series on DVD, but I've never watched it all the way through. IIRC, my friend told me that they never finished it. At least, this was back in th...

Re: What are you Playing?

Been playing Xenogears, been a long time since I last did so. Long enough that I only recall bits and pieces of the story, so at least it's like playing it for the first time all over again.

Re: So about Rinne...

Maybe so-so. I only watched the first episode, but nothing there grabbed my attention enough to warrant spending time to watch more. Then again, I didn't care for Inuyasha much either. I prefer Takahashi's dramas and one shots to the longer running series. But if character design is the single facto...

Re: Yatterman Night

I second that the first two episodes, and certainly the first one, are vital to understanding more of the back story. In particular, the Doronbo gang, as episode three skips over that part when Boyaky is asked about the team's motivations for going against Yatterman. As for blankets, I think the onl...

Re: Yatterman Night

Yeah, I'm actually more familiar with Time Bokan than Yatterman myself (since I got into "Time Fighters" as a kid XD), but since they're in both, it still works! I'm glad to hear that the next 2 eps are just as good. My biggest concern was seeing Leopard portrayed badly while wearing that...

Re: Yatterman Night

I will go as far as to say that this is my pick for the season. Three episodes in, and I have more of an emotional investment in the setting and characters outside of any other show airing now. I'm only passingly familiar with the Time Bokan franchise, Yatterman only barely more so, and this still f...

Re: What are you Playing?

the switch from PS4 to PS3 graphics was a tad jarring. Really? I can't imagine. Then again, I'm not very familiar with the PS4 and I've never seen it in action. I thought the leap from the 32 bit systems to the 128 bit systems was a huge difference, but since the DC/Xbox/PS2 generation, it seems th...

Re: What are you Playing?

Finished up Dragon Age: Inquisition recently. Decided to work back through Dragon Age: Origins, though the switch from PS4 to PS3 graphics was a tad jarring. However, the story holds up just fine, and it's easy enough to pretend it's 2009 all over again for the rest of it. Aside from the DA:O DLC, t...
