Last week I started Resident Evil 7 on the PS4. It's pretty good so far, and extremely atmospheric. I didn't care much for the demo, but the game was cheap so I figured I'd give it a go, and I'm glad I did. It's clear that the RE7 developers were heavily influenced by Konami's infamous Silent Hill d...

In theory, Gundam should be one of the more "filmable" anime titles--as opposed to something like Dragon Ball, but I'm sure Hollywood's adaptation will turn out terrible. It'll likely lack all the elements that makes so many of the Gundam entries unique, and instead turn it into some type of Bayform...

It's pretty awesome that this is happening. Not really a fan of the Broly or Fusion DBZ movies (I preferred the earlier ones), but this will still be worth checking out. Personally, I favor the dubbed versions. I remember having to get subbed copies of the later DBZ movies back in the day, and could...
Over the last few weeks I've been watching all of the Ranma 1/2 OVAs. It's been a blast going back and revisiting them, and I forgot how much I enjoyed some of the plots, like the one where Shampoo gets a piece of cursed jewelry that makes her hate Ranma, or the one where the haunted doll possesses ...
I've been reading Cutie Honey a Go Go! and it doesn't disappoint. I like the art style and really appreciate Seven Seas doing the 400 page 'omnibus' style for these releases. Hopefully sales are good enough so that other volumes get published (along with more Devilman Grimoire).

We’ve recently turned to Kickstarter in an effort fund a physical volume of Danger Zone One material. The print edition will contain 200 black and white pages, featuring Chapters 1 through 6 of the comic, along with behind-the-scenes artwork, concept art, pin-ups, and more. Kickstarter link: https:/...
I just finished up the Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki OVA (the one originally released between 2003-2005). I have some mixed feelings about it and never felt it captured the magic of the '90s OVA. There just seemed to be so many new characters introduced, and at such a rapid fire rate, that my interest starte...
Picked up the first volume of Devilman Grimoire and I've really been digging it, especially all the little changes that were made to the Devilman mythology. The artwork is fantastic, and I like how they turned Miki into a literal witch, complete with pointy hat and cape!

I remember wanting the Project A-KO phone card. I think I still have a photo of it from a magazine ad...I'll have to look for it and scan the page. Semi-off topic, but I just wanted to pass along... on Friday I stopped at a Dollar-something to grab a water en-route to somewhere else and... I saw a p...
Finally watched Devilman Crybaby. it took me about a full episode to get into the animation style but, overall, I really liked the show. The art style grew on me, the music was fantastic, and it was a great re-imagining of Go Nagai's story. I did feel the last two episodes were rushed, and that hurt...
