Re: What are you Reading?
I've been reading the Devilman vs Hades manga and I'm almost finished with Volume 2. The concept of a Devilman/Mazinger crossover works surprisingly well, and I love that the entire story is told in just three volumes. Fantastic artwork too. Well worth checking out for Go Nagai fans.

Nice, thanks! I'll definitely be on the lookout when they run their next Discotek sale!usamimi wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 4:12 pm Next time Rightstuf has a Discotek sale, it'd probably be around that price, so just keep an eye out! https://shrsl.com/2bq7j

Re: What are you Watching?
Recently finished Gundam ZZ for the first time. It definitely improved as the show went on. I know I'm in the vast minority here, but I enjoyed it more than Zeta. I found Judau to be more likable than Kamille -- or at least less prone to random mood swings. Also watched 8 Man After, which is now ava...

Re: A-Kon 1997 report
Most super hero comics are looked down upon because they are awful. Seriously, they're unreadable nonsense aimed at people who have spent years figuring out the elaborate back stories and universes of every character. In contrast, the best selling comics in America today are graphic novels aimed at...

Re: Question About Tai Seng Video Marketing
To the best of my knowledge, Tai Seng was a legit distributor. It's often a murky road with many '80s/'90s HK releases, as there were so many fly by night distributor in the early-to-late '90s (especially when it came to VCDs). I sorely miss Tai Seng's releases. I still have a large VHS and DVDs col...

Re: Anyone excited for/about Death Stranding?!?
I'm very intrigued by Death Stranding, but I'll likely wait for a steep price drop before playing it. Had this been prior to Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain, I would have likely already pre-ordered it. MGS is my all-time favorite game series, but I was so disenchanted by Kojima's work on PP that it...

Re: What are you Watching?
So I finished watching Citrus, the anime. I've been reading what other people thought of it online and I have to say I'm slightly amused that so much ink has been spilled on it, both positive and negative. I do feel that Citrus is a case of an anime simply coming out at the right place in the wrong...

Re: What are you Watching?
Finally watched all 6 parts of Gundam: The Origin. Overall, I enjoyed it. I did feel that there were some aspects/characters they spent too much time on, while others were glossed over. But still worth checking out and adding to the collection. It really made me want to pop in my VHS copies of the o...

Re: Gundam soundtracks on vinyl at Rightstuf
Great cover art, but those are some hefty prices. Wonder if they'll get around to any vinyl releases of the later shows (Gundam 0080, Gundam Wing, etc)?

Re: What are you Watching?
Recently watched Dancouga which was thankfully watchable. Watched it over a few months with a friend which made it easier to get through all 40-odd episodes. But it was not bad! Also watched Goku Midnight Eye on Amazon which was fun. Can't go wrong with Kawajiri. Being a huge Kawajiri fan, I'm asha...
