Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?
In terms of video editing programs out there, you can get free ones that are more effective than Windows Movie Maker. Depending on really what you need it for, you don't really have to have premiere. On the other hand, using Premiere you can do more design wise if you use Illustrator and Photoshop i...

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?
I know some fans for whom it seems like they archive everything they possibly can, even to ripping their DVDs and BDs to digital files, which are on a server somewhere they can access through a media server program. And that's just a lot of work. I have become super picky in what I keep, even on ha...

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?
Yea digital archiving is more important now than ever. Archive.org can only do so much and yet it does quite alot. What worries me about archive.org is the fact that its a great hub for people to upload old fansubs, dubs and etc (Mike Toole uses it to uplaod old dubs) but the other side of that swor...

Re: What are you Watching?
Oh its definetly CGI, but I have no issue in how it looks tbh. I'm part of that generation of gamers as well and grew up as a 90's kid, so these were games that were always around me/I played with friends in grade school/middle school.

Re: What are you Watching?
I've been getting into a recently newer anime called Hi-Score Girl , which caught my interest since it invovles characters that are into the arcade/video game scene of Japan in the early to mid 1990's. It's a pretty cute/fun show to watch with a coming-of-age feel watching the main characters growin...

Re: Barbara of The Technogirls
The only requirement for joining "The Shoujo Anime Club Mailing List" is a Google account. I changed the visibility of the group from "members only" to "anyone on the web can view". Could you try it again? In Google Groups, search on "saclist" or "The Sh...

Re: RIP Jim Kaposzatas
RIP to a fandom legend. Given they're such a staple, it's hard to imagine what both the convention and online scene would look like without AMVs, and the various offshoots that were influenced by them. Jim Kaposzatas' videos truly are important pieces of Western Anime fandom history. Since you down...
