Re: Dragon Ball Creator Akira Toriyama Dies at 68

I kinda wrote up my thoughts hearing the news just over an hour ago, this really just sums up my my emotions and thoughts right now: With waking up to the news on Toriyama’s death this morning, there’s a whole lot I wanna say. I firstly believe first and foremost that I wouldn’t be an anime fan if I...

Re: HELLO~

Welcome to the forums. Yea its wild to think that Tenchi Muyo was on Toonami nearly 25 years ago, I was in middle school at the time it came out. I remember getting Evangelion tapes from friends in high school who lent me their stuff to watch what they had which is how I first saw the show. Glad to ...

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?

In terms of video editing programs out there, you can get free ones that are more effective than Windows Movie Maker. Depending on really what you need it for, you don't really have to have premiere. On the other hand, using Premiere you can do more design wise if you use Illustrator and Photoshop i...

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?

I know some fans for whom it seems like they archive everything they possibly can, even to ripping their DVDs and BDs to digital files, which are on a server somewhere they can access through a media server program. And that's just a lot of work. I have become super picky in what I keep, even on ha...

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?

Yea digital archiving is more important now than ever. Archive.org can only do so much and yet it does quite alot. What worries me about archive.org is the fact that its a great hub for people to upload old fansubs, dubs and etc (Mike Toole uses it to uplaod old dubs) but the other side of that swor...
