Re: Photobucket ****!

I didn't use it for a few years since I was using other stuff, but I would use it as a quick way to get photos on a site that didn't have any kind of hosting for images.

I guess im doing an Imugr account. I've had my Photobucket going back... 2005 maybe?

Re: Eclipse Comics

"Google before Google" is a great way to describe the Whole Earth Catalog. My definitely non-hippy parents had a copy of the 1971 edition, which was huge and filled with pretty much everything. LEED Publishing apparently is owned by Takao Saito himself as part of his organization. That wa...

Re: What are you Watching?

It's been about 6 years since I saw CPS (since I still have the fansub for it saved saved on my HD), but I found it to be a fun OVA and that was it. It's in the middle, and that's the best you can say about that. I don't look down on it for being inferior, since its an OVA that it seems only a few p...

Re: Sci Fi Channel "Festival of Anime"

From what Trish Ledoux has said on twitter, she told me that it was Anime Expo 96 is when their "on the spot" interviews were. I'm assuming the Japanese guests had a room to do all their interviews at as well. She went by the guest list that year and it seems to check out. https://twitter....

Sci Fi Channel "Festival of Anime"

I came across this video that was on someone's personal recordings off the sci fi channel anime airings. During the commercial breaks of Gall Force I saw these interviews that sci fi channel did to promote anime on their stations in the 1990s. I was able to compile all the promos I saw on these vide...

Re: Eclipse Comics

This is all the issues of Eclipse comics that I own, which half consist of Masamune Shirow works. I do have more Area 88 but eventually in the 40's issues they used the Viz name instead of Eclipse. I checked my Golgo 13 issues and they seem to have another company involved with Viz called Leed/Lead....

Re: Younger fan with theoretical 80s nostalgia

On some of the other forums in here, some of us had been talking about the inability of newer shows to gain traction in building long lasting fanbases in the streaming era, as a show's "fans" only stick around long enough to promote the show until it stops airing, before moving onto the n...
