Re: Atlanta Scifi Expo, anyone going?

From what I saw online of the mall, it looks pretty vacant and "ghetto" in some parts. I think the main part of the con is held in an abandoned TJMaxx id have to assume. I mean it's great space for a con, and other small cons I know in the new england states are having theirs at abandoned ...

Atlanta Scifi Expo, anyone going?

I'll be a volunteer this year at the Atlanta SciFi Expo in helping out with the Gundam related stuff at the con (since im a member of the Southeast Gundam Club). I also got a panel at 4pm on Sunday titled "Gundam in America: A Brief History" which im showcasing a brief rundown on how Gunda...

Re: Cho Supercar Gattiger

I have a strong desire to do a panel someday about car racing anime, or anime with cars racing in them. And I swear it wont be 90% Initial D, in case Daryl Surat ever wants to come by and see it. I'll add this title to my list of content.

I'm definetly down for watching this, you got my support. Do you have an interview role in the film or did you just work on the production side of the documentary?

Re: Relating to younger fans...

I find more of a drive to be at a con as a contributor than as a attendee. I've been at this mindset that the older I get, the more people who are current fans don't know a lot about anime and I feel the need to beat them with the holy anime bible of their cluelessness to a "convert or die"...

Re: Babel Con '82 TV ad -

The last time I saw any coverage of a con on the news was my local affiliate did a brief minute spot news segment on Dragoncon, and had footage of the parade, furries and other oddities. The only thing the newcaster could give was "Wow, that Batmobile looks fantastic!" while the other news...

Re: Alita: Battle Angel delayed to Dec '18

The eyes didn't bother me, and if that is the reason it's kinda a lame one for pushing the date back. It can work as a summer 2018 movie, and I think it might do better around then than at the end of the year when Oscar bait and Christmas films come out that'll get lost in the shuffle and hurt its r...

Re: Babel Con '82 TV ad -

To think that Star Blazers was that big of a hit to be recognized at this con on TV is a pretty big thing for 1982. You dont ever see ads for cons on regular cable networks anymore, and that's in part too how much it costs for a con to come up with the money to promote on a TV spot in the first plac...
