That's true! It was originally hosted at Ohio State by Marijan Adam while he was a student there, but network traffic got so high that it couldn't be hosted there anymore, so TCP stepped in. In the late 90s, I became friends with Fred Leggett online (through our mutual love of To-Y), but never met him in person. Haven't talked to him in years, though.

I used to shop there. One of my wife's best friends was an employee there (and the UCI bookstore in general). Several years ago, she told me that there's still some anime merch stashed away in storage somewhere.
