Re: What are you Watching?
After watching Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch From Mercury, I was instantly interested in going back and seeing all the Gundam I missed previously, considering I didn't know much at all about the franchise previously. So I'm starting with G Gundam. And... oh wow, it is not what I was expecting. Granted, ...

Re: The Anime Nostalgia Podcast & Blog
Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a very special series for me. Not only was it a huge part of my tastes changing towards more cerebral, character-driven stories, but I watched it almost literally right as I was starting college, so I associate it with some very big changes in my life. So I was reall...

Re: The Anime Nostalgia Podcast & Blog
For some reason, I didn't realize that the podcast was available on Google Play (for some reason it's the only thing that will work on my cheap garbage phone). As someone with a deep fascination about This Sort of Thing, thanks for helping to keep stories like these alive. The interview struck a gre...

Agh, some of those Gintama shirts are really enticing... and I love the Yamcha shirt, despite how played out the joke is. All of them are really cool though, and I'm glad to see a lot of classics represented.

Been a while since any posts here, but a bit more material has been updated, including character designs.

Re: 100 years of anime video
It's the 100 years of anime video, guest starring Studio Ghibli in the role of Sir Not-Appearing-in-this-Compilation! Honestly, as far as editing goes, it's really not any better than some similar fan-made videos I've seen, and has some very noticeable "we could not get the rights to clips from...

Re: Introducing Old Anime to Young Fans?
Sorry it took so long to be responsive, but thanks so much for the responses, everyone! My friend screened Castle of Cagliostro to the club, and from what I hear, it was a big success, with some of the students immediately wanting to know if they could watch more stuff with Lupin in it. So yeah, gre...

Introducing Old Anime to Young Fans?
So here's a topic that might be of interest to some of you. My friend is a teacher, and helps to run/supervise the Anime Club at her school. She's been tasked with selecting shows that would both be appropriate for a school club, and engaging for the students. While she's already selected some works...

Re: I'm writing a play about anime fandom (Work in Progress))
That's a good comparison, haha. Thematically not really what I had in mind, but then again, that could also change. I too considered the possibility of exploring the story through film, but I'm holding off on it for now. Not because it's a bad choice or the wrong one, it's just that I'm less versed ...

Re: I'm writing a play about anime fandom (Work in Progress))
It's good to not over-promise, that shows thought. OK, gonna throw out a couple of things, because I think checking your goal can be useful. Ready? :) 1. Do not use any real anime or manga in the play. You don't need to, and the audience won't care. Nobody is going to see a reference to (show) and ...
