Re: So about those Megazone 23 sequel/remakes

Well, they will likely already lose points compared to the originals the minute I spot the inevitable first CG sequence. They definitely will use CGI, unfoutinately. If I recall, there's not that many animators who specialize in 2D mechanical animation nowadays; either because there's not as ...

Re: So about those Megazone 23 sequel/remakes

With AnimEigo going to be releasing Megazone 23 next through the Kickstarter Campaign, maybe there's a way to get these out with those original OVA's. I think things are set in stone for the original ones, so if anything another company like Maiden Japan or RightStuf could release those in the futu...

So about those Megazone 23 sequel/remakes

So there seems to be two or so anime in the works based on the classic 80s OVA series (or at least, mostly the first two OVAs. Safe to say the 3rd/4th are understandably neglected). This is sorta old news but I didn't see anyone mention it on here: So there's Megazone 23 XI ; which is a sequel of so...

Re: An essay of sorts about the role of anime in my life

Just read it. Pretty interesting, though do you have the book out on Amazon or something? What exactly is it about? Maybe you expand more on it in a later chapter (I assume the Eva one) but from this chapter alone, I wish you explained more how anime played a part for you mental well-being wise. I'v...

Re: The Dream Traveler (AKA my art. May contain NSFW stuff)

I'm sorry it's been awhile since I posted on here. Long-story short, my old workplace was closing around Feb and I was just too anxious/stressed. Fortunately by around March (Store closed in late-March), things were better but I was still emotional. I have a new job now; it's been rough but recently...

Re: The Dream Traveler (AKA my art. May contain NSFW stuff)

Been awhile since I posted here. I mind as well share this since I don't plan on working on it anymore since I need to focus on an artpack I hope to get done in about a month or so for money purposes. Basically this is a character named Avy (Avalonia) who I've created around 2009/2010, but have just...

I might get vol 1 as a little reward for me. I just saw Beautiful Dreamer so I'm definitely in the mood for more Urasei Yatsura.

Re: What are you Playing?

Most recently, I've been playing GTAV and Travis Strikes Back. I've been playing the latter since last Thursday though. I've been liking it a lot so far. My favorite aspect is the old-school visual novel aspect where it looks like it's on an old green monochrome computer.

Re: Youtube video "We Have Accepted Mediocrity" snipet focusing on 80s anime

I think this video is what happens when a young otaku brain tries to reconcile loving Urotsukidoji and K-ON ;) I'd say the meager existence of those trying to live as an artist/studio hand today has a silent effect on quality. It isn't easy to draw when your eating bread crust trying to save for a ...

Re: Youtube video "We Have Accepted Mediocrity" snipet focusing on 80s anime

[...] I know Digi has seen and enjoyed anime titles that have come out in the last 15 years or so. But I'm not sure if he has seen the less good titles from around that time. I know he watches a lot of titles for modern stuff since his situation allows him to (having a Patreon and all that). Yeah, ...
