Re: Dragon Ball Creator Akira Toriyama Dies at 68
He did wonders in helping anime spread across the world, with not only Dragon Ball, but also his character design work in the video game industry. Mr. Toriyama was always private when it came to his personal life... May he rest in peace. I wonder if we will see any attempts to released his unfinishe...

Re: Hello from the future!
Aye, welcome to the boards, Gaijinguy. I'd love to attend Comiket one of these days, and I'd be happy to check out your 'zines if I do.
BTW, I'm a fan of Robotech/Macross as well! I finally met Tony Oliver at a con about a month ago.

Re: HELLO~
Hi Eileen, welcome to the boards! That's an awesome collection. I also find press kits, mail orders and catalogs to be interesting, so you're in good company here. Press kits in particular give a unique look into what executives were thinking at the time... That Pokemon kit must've been made when US...

Re: anime con room parties of the past
This was a particularly fun article! Despite being to many cons over the years, I've always checked out when it comes to the parties. The photos and scans here really add a lot of context for what they were like.

Re: Boston Japanimation Society newsletter uploads
These are a real treat, thanks for sharing! My favorite part of fanzines is the original art that they drew themselves, in this case, Frank Strom's.
The more uploaded on archive.org the merrier, I say.

Welcome to the forums! Glad to have yet another member who realizes the importance of backing up such things. I appreciate you sharing your history, too. ...Ah, the days of hanging out in IRC channels. I kind of want to check out Aegisub now.

Re: William Chow's vodcast series, History of Fan Anime in North America
Yup, always a pleasure to hear about scene-related things like this. Despite also being an anime "middle schooler", I'm quite interested in anime fanzines, newsletters, etc. (Both physical and online BBS) I just bought a couple issues of "From SIDE to SIDE" to add to my collection.
