Re: VHS trading and fansubs in the modern era: Anime Herald
Ahh yes I’m just now seeing this! The Internet Archive had all my fansub digitizations taken down
but I’m still collecting more tapes each day, digitizing them, and figuring out how I can archive them and where to upload them for the public.

Re: WTB VHS/SVHS Fansubs and official VHS
I just acquired a couple volumes of Kodomo no Omocha and Hana Yori Dango, but I'm missing some volumes
Perhaps someone in this forum has them?

Re: What did old-school fans think about digital fansubs?
I was quite young during the 90s and 2000s so the concept of time didn’t apply to me. My first introduction to fansubs was actually Real Media encodes of Sailor Moon, and while I knew links could die, it never occurred to me that files could disappear forever. I definitely regret deleting stuff, lik...

Re: What are you Watching?
I’m just now getting into Vampire Princess Miyu, Video Girl Ai, To Heart, and Macross 7 thanks to some VHS tapes that I’ve been able to acquire. It’s rough though because I don’t have a lot of time and I recently got into JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure too and that’s a lot of episodes. I also plan on watc...

Can someone help me identify these fansubs of DBZ?
So I recently came across a bunch of these subtitled Dragon Ball Z movies from Facebook Marketplace. They appear to be fansubs, but duplicated by a bootlegger. The tapes had nice clamshell cases with slipcovers but the only label on the tapes said "Best collection of karate & martial arts&q...

Re: Hello everyone! VHS collector and ex-fansubber here
I'll take older knowledge over my current lack thereof! I'm on Linux myself, so I figured I might have to hunt down a similar enough software package if AegiSub and VirutalDub aren't open sourced or have a compatible free version. But any help along the lines of the process beyond writing a transla...

Re: Hello everyone! VHS collector and ex-fansubber here
I have a few things I want to sub myself now, so if you're familiar with it, I'd appreciate any insight you may have! Unfortunately my fansubbing insight is quite dated, and I'm also running on a Macbook now instead of Windows. But back in the day, I used Aegisub to time all my subtitles, it was a ...

Re: WTB VHS/SVHS Fansubs and official VHS
Hey welcome to the forum. I think I might've found those SM fansubs of yours years ago and saw through the first series which took me a couple of years to do lol. For Number 3, im part of a few online communities of people who have VHS tapes of TV recordings and put them online for other people to ...
