Re: Linux discussion

Ubuntu is generally the most friendly, but if you worked with another flavor previously then I assume the complications of using Linux vs. Win(whatever) is not a problem. One of my friends uses Mint and I've considered switching if only because I don't like where they've taken interface dev on Ubunt...

Gender roles in entertainment

Starting a topic to go into an intellectual sidebar on a topic that started in the "Sailor Moon - Crystal" thread. I think it is an interesting question to look at how we view gender roles as society has advanced and how we view the differences between men and women. But if the mods think ...

Re: What are you Watching?

During that era of anime fandom, though, Lodoss was pretty much the only fantasy anime really worth watching, with our limited anime access. There was also "Bastard!" which was DEFINITELY worth watching http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=519 Being a big Alien fan, a...

I guess this is (was?) his latest work: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=14123 Shows how disconnected I got on that one, I was going to mention how he was working on Cannon God Exaxxion, and then looked at Wikipedia and saw that after he stopped doing that (2004) he sequel'e...

Re: What are you Watching?

but Hosoda gives her more interesting things to do here than he did with the protagonists of Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I haven't seen "Wolf Children", and I wasn't super impressed with "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", but I LOVED "Summer Wars"....
