Re: What are you Watching?
Yes, "proactive." That is a good word to describe Kamille to set him apart from Amuro. After seeing his parents killed by the Titans right in front of him, that was enough to get him to grow up and strengthen his resolve. Sad to see you give up on ZZ. The first 18 episodes or so are rathe...

Re: What are you Watching?
You summed up my feelings exactly. Its sad that Tomino gets so much crap thrown at him for doing what Gundam was supposed to do in Zeta. The arguments that shows like SEED (not bad) and Wing (not that good) are better shows is laughable to me simply because they both do what Gundam really wasn't mea...

Re: Megazone 23 and Alan Tam
As much blame that should rightly fall at the communists feet, We also should remember that Chinese culture was about to hit one of its highest peaks before the Opium war, From what I read they were on the verge of a renaissance that was quickly derailed by the british, so I would say they are still...

Re: Megazone 23 and Alan Tam
Oh I wouldn't say there have been no contributions to Chinese culture in the last 100 years or so, Jin Yong, Gu Long, and Liang Yusheng would dispute that rather strongly. They are (or in the cast of Gu Long and Liang Yusheng were) pioneers in the art of Wuxia Fiction, which before they came along h...

Re: What are you Watching?
I'm finally finishing up Cowboy Bebop. I always thought it was extremely overrated, and I after seeing 22 out of 26 episodes, I still think it's really lacking in the character and story department. I don't feel attached at all to any of the characters. Their interactions just aren't there, the rel...

Ignoring them is all anyone can do, they're winning and there is nothing we can do about it. Progress is a double edged sword sometimes....

Re: Xenogears
It was unfortunate that they couldn't flesh out the second disc as much as they wanted. I liked what was on it for the most part, I just wish we could have played everything leading up to the events rather than a narration of how we got to them.

Re: Xenogears
Right here, big big fan of it. Doesn't get nearly enough appreciation these days, even less since Xenosaga kinda tarnished its name for most people.

I've been trying to get to AWA since the AWO first did a con report for it, I've not been able to get to Atlanta yet. But I will some day
