Re: did you, would you, could you, anime club?
When I was in my senior year of high school, we got some new art teacher who really wanted to create an anime club. And, of course, being very opportunistic and feeling that creating and being the president of the club by default would be the icing on my already stellar college resume, I went for it...

Re: New Vision of Escaflowne HD Dub Kickstarter
Thanks for the link. Low pledge from me because there's no sketch tier. That's like, the kiss of death for me with these projects. No (reasonably priced) sketch tier, no high pledge. Con season will be in full swing for me next month and if these projects can't line up a sketch tier, I'll blow my fu...

Re: Surprise lolicon.
It is a big hoax and a conspiracy in my opinion. I'm not disagreeing with your post, but I'd also like to point out that the said can be said about artwork aimed at straight women and homosexual men. My favorite shoujo/josei mangaka is a woman by the name of Aya Shouoto. Shouoto's men just ooze sex...

Re: Surprise lolicon.
I'm kinda skeptical on buying doujin art in general. If most of what people come across is porn related, I rather play it safe and have no part in it. Not all of it is porn, and even then, there are varying degrees of that. A lot of the straight stuff aimed at women has no nudity. It's just fuzzy, ...

Re: Surprise lolicon.
I don't buy much doujinshi, so when I have purchased stuff in a blind lot before on Yahoo Japan, the most depressing thing I usually get is that the cover artwork is much nicer than the artwork inside. Nothing like purchasing a doujinshi because of some amazing cover artwork only to find that what's...

Re: What is the age range of Millennials, anyway?
I don't think poorly of Millennials--TV likes to tell us they're all selfie-taking morons that can't move out of the house, but considering how shitty the job market is still in some areas, and how most of them will be stuck paying student loans for the next 20 years with not much to show for it......

Re: What is the age range of Millennials, anyway?
I disagree with thinking that Gen Y got the short end of the stick. How many Millennials have you spoken with lately? Those that I know are frustrated that they are loaded with tuition debt due to their inability to get a good paying job in their field. They feel utterly deceived - Their entire live...

Re: The Lucky Finds bragging thread
I liked the OVAs better than the series itself. Sasami and Tenchi are siblings in the OVA, but their mom was pretty psycho in a fun way...and then there was the villain that was a Bill Gates parody. Pixie Misa was pretty special too, with her constant 'Engrish' usage. It's been a while since I've se...

Re: What are you Playing?
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. It had been a while since I've played a Pokémon Dungeon game. Once I reached the first ending, it dawned on me as to why that had been - seriously sad endings. I bawled for a good 10 minutes. I didn't think the first Dungeon game's ending could ever be beat, but nope, ...

Re: Wonder Three
Part of the problem with DMP's Tezuka kickstarters is how long it takes them in the fulfillment department. One of my friends supported their last successful Tezuka campaign and complained that she didn't receive her digital rewards until she pestered DMP, waiting to ask until long after the physica...
