However, the studio attempting this would need big bucks for a top-class character designer and a huge cast ...

Re: The Rightstuf 2016 Holiday sale IS ON!!

Semi off topic, but does anyone other than myself get copies of stuff that they obtained back in the 'old days', and will probably never watch it, but want the money to go for things that we got when we had no idea any of this would become so easily available? (Rose of Versailles is the one that bro...

Re: Gauging interest for Legend of The Galactic Heroes novels

I finished the third one the other day... I think the thing about them that impresses me the most is how -close- the anime matched the books. Re: Gauging interest for Legend of The Galactic Heroes novels

Just passing along the information... I received book 3 in the mail the other day, and inside the back cover it says that the next (4th) book will come out in summer of 2017. Vague, but some information is better than none.

Re: New Vampire Hunter D anime series announced!

In case anyone was curious... this has morphed from an anime series into a comic book series / RPG supplement. They went to Kickstarter and issue 1 is getting ready to ship. At a glance, anyone could put in a thousand dollars to have their issue signed by Hideyuki Kikuchi himself.

Re: Gauging interest for Legend of The Galactic Heroes novels

To follow up on this, I pre-ordered them last year and have read the first two and am waiting on the third. I very much enjoy them.. I also found it fascinating to see what from the oav were right out of the book and what was added. I am looking forward to the third book arriving soon... but I am al...

Lets see... back on effnet I did visit the #anime! channel fairly often... for a while I posted on rec.arts.anime a bit.. I was on a bunch of mailing lists t...
