Ah, that is cool!

I knew he is fairly accessible. So he was into fandom by at least 1986 I would guess?

Re: An index of prominent figures in the early anime fandom?

Was Woodhead involved in anime fandom before founding AnimEigo, though? I know that basically the seed money for AnimEigo came from his share of the popular BBS game he wrote, Wizardry , and that the game was pretty popular in Japan but I've never picked up that he was well known in 'the scene' bef...

Re: What are you Playing?

I mostly play Mechwarrior Online, the most recent version of the classic Mechwarrior 2 look, and the latest Battletech which is a lot like the classic original Mechwarrior. Both are updated, but the heart and soul is there. Good news! The "Unseen" are returning from Harmony Gold limbo. I'm...

I still have a copy of it. And with Discotek doing KOR I am hopeful too. It would be nice to get a R1 legal release o...

Re: The old-school anime DVD/BD news thread.

Discotek is releasing Kimagure Orange Road on Blu Ray, with the first volume available March 26th! So long out of print, and a foundation of modern anime. Volume 1 is all the TV series, with Volume 2 containing Movie 1, and the OVAs, date not yet announced. https://www.rightstufanime.com/Kimagure-Or...

I need to find a copy of the original OVAs, I liked them. The Legacy OVA is.. not as good.
