Re: William Chow's vodcast series, History of Fan Anime in North America
Does he talk about all the drama he put into his subtitles ever? I'll watch over these at some point I guess... this guy is pretty hard core to say the least.

Re: Trailer up for IG's LOTGH
I realize I'm seriously late to the party here. Looks like I'd dislike this for the same reasons I disliked Yamato 2199 (but trudged through and finished). Anyone else hate modern character designs?

Re: New City Hunter Movie announced for 2019!
For someone that's going back to a lot of the series they missed in the 80's, is City Hunter one I should just start w/ the TV episodes and work up to the films? I did Cobra in chronological order. Watched the amazing by any standards film, then the TV which I'm close to done with. I suppose I'll do...

Re: Project A-Kon II program book (1991)
Very cool... My first A-kon was I think 3 (or maybe it was 4). I do recall the legendary fight after the water gun thing, so maybe I went to 4. I went to most of the minicons as well... admittedly though, most of what I did in those things dupe like 20 VHS tapes all weekend long. Oh, the good old da...

Re: Japanese green tea
I lived in Japan for 15 years, and it all started w/ a 3 month study abroad in Shizuoka which is known for their green tea. I know as much as about it as you guys. In fact I was in the Park Hyatt last week and saw a 4800 yen box of tea. WTF? I can tell the difference betweeen $20, $50, and $100 scot...

Re: The old-school anime DVD/BD news thread.
80's goodness. It has the best anime discotech scene that I'm aware of. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). :) I watched the OVAs ages ago, but couldn't really get into them when I retried a year or so ago. The movie though... those neutral colors... love it. Wonder if the Dirty Pair TV will get the ...

Re: Akira soundtrack to get vinyl release
Yeah, that's the only downside to vinyl soundtracks: unless it's a double LP set, it's usually just highlights from the score & not the entire thing (unless it's short). But I'm still up for that xD It's a shame the one Ghost in the shell vinyl I see sometimes is a bootleg. I'd love it if someo...

Re: Chirashi collecting
I used to have STACKS of game chirashi. Some of the arcade ones and Famicom were pricey.

Sorry if this has been posted. Anyone excited about the Crusher Joe BD Box? Comes w/ the movie and the OVAs... the latter of which nobody apparently cares about.

Re: Akira soundtrack to get vinyl release
Curious if this one is gonna be mastered off of the tapes. or something else. As someone that owns the original vinyl (even though it only has about half the soundtrack) this isn't the best news in the world for me, but I'm sure I'll get it. The last "vinyl release" turns out to be a bootl...
