Re: How did you discover anime?

Man, this takes me back. For me at least, these three titles were essential to the start of my fandom. If I were to go back in time and run in to my younger self at that comic book shop here in El Paso, I'd probably nod and smile.

Damn, this made me tear up in a good way. Thanks for that, Karma. ♥

Re: How did you discover anime?

It was a comic book shop back in 1988. Among your Marvel, DC and Dark Horse titles on the shelf, there was this particular comic book box I found myself going back to again and again whenever my friend asked me to accompanyhim to the comic shop. In that particular box, I found 3x3 Eyes from Innovati...

Re: Paper or Electric?

So, think of it this way, now that it's 2019. Do you go out and buy the CD of your favorite band, only to take it home and listen to on your Discman, then put it on the shelf? https://i.imgur.com/3AscRth.jpg Actually... Ha, ha! Nice! Well, I'll be damned, the new gen is still getting down wit...

Re: Paper or Electric?

I am currently undecided on how to proceed, and thought I would ask you all for opinions. I currently have the paper copies of books 1-4 of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Arslaan Manga #1-5, and the new Harlock manga #1. On the other hand, I grabbed 'How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom' #1-5 and...

Re: Nothing of Consequence

Yeah, there are going to be fans out there on this giant ball of dirt that we may never know about or, fans bragging themselves out to be better than they really are or, people with bigger collections than perhaps, all of us combined. But you have to find happiness within the goods you have, fuck ev...

Re: Nothing of Consequence

No one on here is any bigger a fan, than you. I hate the concept of the biggest fan. These are the idiots at conventions that will tell you that they're the #1 fan of a series because they've seen the series x amount of times, can recite the main character's lines by heart, have spent $$ on merchan...
