Re: Summer Movies 2013

The Song of Ice and Fire novels are definitely for the very hardcore only. I started reading them way back when they first started coming out. I dropped the series after a while, though, because I realized that I really only was interested in 1 or 2 characters, and when Martin released a volume that...

Re: What are you Watching?

The Space Adventure Cobra movie is a flick that should definitely be watched in the highest visual quality possible. Watching it on a ratty fansub doesn't do it justice, since it's one of the most visually attractive anime films ever made. I love the Cobra universe. It definitely hails from the Heav...

Re: What are you Watching?

The anime version of Gunsmith Cats, released 1995 by Kodansha/VAP/Tokyo Broadcasting and a year later in North America by ADV Films, is an original animation story. Was originally released as 3 individual videos, 'Neutral Zone', 'Swing High!' and 'High Speed Edge'. In 1997 it was compiled as a sing...

Re: Sega Dreamcast Love

I bought my DC copy of Mark of the Wolves just last year, and it was the Japanese version. It was quite a bit cheaper than the American version, and it doesn't have the same sound issues. The Japanese versions of Last Blade 2 and Mark of the Wolves should be pretty affordable. There should be place...

If they have, it certainly was never released in the U.S. The ADV DVD releases always released it as 3 episodes.

Re: Sega Dreamcast Love

Mark of the Wolves was and is amazingly good. The animation is simply stunning, rivalling Street Fighter 3's animation quality at times, and on outdated technology too (at the point Mark of the Wolves was released, the Neo Geo arcade boards was technically out of date). If you get the DC versions of...

Re: Summer Movies 2013

Everything else these days focuses on Earth, with zombies, vampires, and werewolves. NASA has been all but scrapped, now focusing on Muslims outreach rather than space exploration (seriously, WTF?). I know you were talking about movies when it comes to zombies, vampires and werewolves, but I can't ...
