Re: Hello all!

Whoa, another Lunar Fan? Did we just become best friends? Yeah, Lunar blew me away with its anime cut scenes. I didn't get to play Eternal Blue until it came out on Playstation. I also went back and emulated the original, and even hacked it to get the Dark Scimitar. I have 2 or 3 Artbooks and the or...

Re: Hello all!

Last weekend I made the trip to Nikaku Animart. That was fun. I picked up some original Angel Cop manga, a Yasuhiko Yoshikazoo art book, as well as a bunch of old issues of Animerica (I'm a sucker for nostalgia). I miss the old days. Wow, I don't live in California and I never thought to look when ...

Re: Hello all!

Thanks for joining. Suncoast will always be a nostalgic part of my fandom from the '90s. The last time I stepped foot into one (I think they're all gone now), I was a bit saddened to see what it had become, yet there was still a fondness for the place because of the memories I had. They were well-k...

Re: Hey, I'm Net-Lex

Around '99ish, I bought the 13 episodes from someone on Ebay, who had taped them off of TV. Now, my local GEO carries the whole series on DVD. The circle is now complete. Hah, no way, I tried to buy those on eBay as well. I actually won an auction and paid for it, but the seller never sent anything...

Fresno? No way! That's my back yard. Otaku Generation? I remember them!

Dennis, are you still in the area? Is there anything going on locally that I should know about?

Wow, your toy collection sounds amazing. I'd love to see pictures if you ever take any.

Macross is my favorite as well. I have some Takatoku, Bandai, and new Yamato valkyries. The new ones are amazing looking, but you still gotta love the old chunky-monkeys!

Re: Hey, I'm Net-Lex

Ahh, the Dragon Warrior anime! I tried so hard to watch that show when it was aired (I was probably about 12 years old), but the station that played it didn't have very good reception. One of the few times I was able to tune in, there was no sound! I was so pissed. I'm pretty sure I downloaded all o...

Pull up a chair and don't be shy, we are a pretty global bunch.
Thanks! As for global, man, I wish I could find a local old-school anime friend. Anyone around here near San Luis Obispo?
