Re: Mori's Introduction

Welcome, Mori! :D Always good to see new people! I had a friend who lived in Hawaii in high school who would periodically record Crayon Shin-chan episodes off of tv for me and send me tapes. I always thought it was the coolest thing ever, and wondered why they couldn't show it on a national channel ...

I'm not sure, since it's run by a small group of people. I know that at least 2 of them feverishly collect old back-issues of Nakayoshi for their archives, so they at least have a love/understanding of the old 90s shoujo stuff. XD

Re: What are you Watching?

I don't mind the commercials on CR because they're always short. But they do seem to play the same ones over and over again...I dunno if it's just when I watch it or what, sometimes I feel like I see the same commercial like 10 times over the course of a couple of episodes, lol.

Re: Greetings

Oh man, I love Dragon Half. I wish they'd made more of it. I keep wondering if someone will ever pick up the manga someday, but since it's considered "old" now, maybe not. :/ Bastard's still relatively easy to find...I think it's less than $15 on Amazon. I found it in a bargain bin at some...

Re: The old-school anime DVD/BD news thread.

I remember renting it forever ago and thinking it was cool, so I definitely want to try to get it when it comes out if they updated the video quality.

Re: What are you Watching?

Yeah, that's the only thing that sucks about Hulu Plus...there's still commercials, there's just less of them than if you were watching the "free" version on their website. :/

Re: What are you Watching?

I don't pay for it, actually--I have a friend who was kind enough to share their login info with me. XD;;; (I know, terrible, but hey I can't complain~) Most of the titles can still be watched for free on their website, from what I've heard, but being able to stream it on the PS3 is nice (and the fa...

Re: What are you Reading?

Everyone that I know that was part of the Kickstarter checked theirs after I posted about it on Twitter, and so far no one else seems to have one that's missing pages...so I think I was just "lucky". XD; Go figure I'd been waiting so long for this book to come out and I'm the only one to g...

Re: Greetings

I think that RPGs tend to appeal to anime fans, and vice-versa, because of the rich stories and character development many of them have...and like you said, it also helps that some of them have anime-style character designs (or outright have anime or games based on them, whichever the case may be). ...
