Re: How did you discover anime?

What I wouldn't do to get my hands on some $2 manga today haha Half Price Books is your friend. They even have $1 manga sometimes in the discount section. If you don't live anywhere near one and are in the US, I can send you some manga from there. Media mail is awesomely cheap. For me, the first an...

Does anyone else like going to the r/BoneAppleTea reddit forum to see how people misspell anime/manga concepts? Found this one today - https://www.reddit.com/r/BoneAppleTea/comments/acv0mw/legit_on_too_nammy/ I can never call this series by its proper name again. Also I'm seriously hoping that a sei...

Re: Did the Pokemon boom affected you?

OMG fun fact: the ONLY time I ever got an entire anime club screening room to be absolutely quiet was when I got a fansub of the first Pokemon movie & did a showing of it a week before the American version hit theaters. I don't blame them. The first two Pokémon movies were quite different in th...

Re: Anime shirts

I don't know, I've never really shopped for any anime related clothing before. Especially with my budget, I can't really go out and blow a lot of money on shirts. And finding shirts with anything other than Sailor Moon or Dragon Ball in stores is really rare. Totally recommend hitting the Hot Topic...

Re: Did the Pokemon boom affected you?

Pokémon started showing in my market in the Fall of 1998. We were always one year ahead of the rest of the country. Sailor Moon started in 1995 while I was watching the dub in the summer of 1994. So, yeah, Pokémon was super popular among us college students and a good group of us would crowd around ...

Re: Chasing after the long-lost American Sailor Moon

In my local market (San Francisco Bay Area), the dubbed Sailor Moon was shown from 2:30-3pm M-F. Most elementary school children did not get out of school until 3pm.

Re: Nothing of Consequence

So for every time you think this Luna Art's collection is better and far more superior than yours, just think to yourself that at least yours is LIGHT YEARS better than mine! I enjoy looking at other people's collections, but that's more in general because I like to see what people own and ho...

^ Yeah, I mean, between this and finally getting my KOR manga rewards through the DMP Kickstarter ...eventually...I don't know if I can contain my excitement.

All I need now is an update on Matsumoto's health and I'd be pretty thrilled with things on this end.

Re: Nothing of Consequence

No one on here is any bigger a fan, than you. I hate the concept of the biggest fan. These are the idiots at conventions that will tell you that they're the #1 fan of a series because they've seen the series x amount of times, can recite the main character's lines by heart, have spent $$ on merchan...
