Re: Memories of your anime club in the old days...

As I believe I mentioned in my self-intro, I was a member of the Anime Archive BBS in Phoenix, AZ. The guy who hosted the GTs was a guy named Bruce Carlson, known as Cactus Subtitling or something like that. Ah---memories! Why I come here. I forgot to ask about Bruce. I had a lot of his stuff... tr...

Re: Old Scripts... are they around?

Have a lot of the old scripts but I think they are copyrighted. Would have to contact the translator for those, if I can find her... Just specifically looking for the ones I timed, specifically MI. I'm wondering if they were taken down off of most sites (assuming they were around) after Viz release...

Re: The "WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING ON TV" Japan Thread

Definitely not me. I loathe Japanese TV. I tried to watch the Olympics in the summer, and realized I didn't even have my B-CAS card which is necessary for authentication of digital cable. Wound up getting it and installing it. Flipped channels, and low and behold, and episode of Gatchaman was on. Ha...

Re: Old Scripts... are they around?

We had people transcribe the AA scripts, AFAIK... or maybe they were available. They needed heavy editing though, as anyone knows. Brutal work. People are so spoiled these days! A cursory check revealed a few Maison Ikkoku text files (in Maison_Ikkoku.zip below) -- are any of those files what you're...

Wonder: New Site

I posted this at shmups, too. Figured someone here might get a kick out of it. Basically everything about anime/games except for... anime and games. Wonder The first shocking thing about this is that it was designed by Japanese, and that it's one of the simplest designs around. No, seriously... take...

I'm not, just a bit addictive with my hobbies... as you might be able to tell. The Zeiss' are new, btw. Love 'em. So sexy!

Glad you enjoyed the pics. It was pretty fun out there.

Old Scripts... are they around?

Recently wound up explaining the whole subtitling process of old on another forum. For fun, I started googling around for the fruits of my labor from that decade I like to call The 90's. Much to my surprise, I can't find any of them. Not the end of the world, but I figured some dark corner of the in...
