Re: Question about Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins
Wasn't that the Korean film? No, the Korean film is Ssawora Son Goku, Igyeora Son Goku. To my knowledge, it has not received any sort of release in the United States. I'm familiar with the Taiwanese live-action Dragonball film, but the only print I ever saw of it - well, okay, I've never seen the e...

With the right mindset, it's not nearly as bad as you might think  However, I've run across a tidbit of information that I cannot seem to confirm. I'm not sure if this...

Re: Greetings and salutations! (Beware the wall o' text!)
Welcome to the forums usamimi! I'm a little ashamed to admit that I haven't seen Clash of the Bionoids yet myself, but it's on my list of titles to pick up soon! Thanks! Haha, honestly you're not missing a whole lot, other than a good laugh. XD I absolutely love anime dubs from that era; the...

Re: Coming to R1: Galaxy Express 999 and Rose of Versailles
In other old-school news, Maiden Japan has licensed the original Patlabor OVA series for U.S. distribution...it will be released on Bluray, too. Is this the first North American BD release of a pre-1990s anime that's NOT a film? http://www.fandompost.com/2013/01/15/maiden-japan-announces-patlabor-o...

Re: Hello
Thanks for the friendly welcome! The anime I was first exposed to (I believe) was Gatchaman. I caught reruns of Battle of the Planets, and then (much) later, Eagle Riders. At the time, I had no idea why the shows had such different names! After years of searching for a movie that I saw in this same ...
