Re: Was Randall Stukey representative to anything?
I don't think Sue Shambaugh was making any sort of profit out of translating anime movies. I can't remember what she was charging, but certainly it wasn't anywhere near what a professional translator would charge. When we subtitled the Queen Millennia film we used her script and I don't think she c...

Re: Data on Convention Sizes
Why did they put DragonCon under the "tabletop" category? I thought they do all sort of sci-fi/fantasy stuffs there? Also, why is NY Comic-Con bigger than San-DIego? Is it because of the size of the hosting city, or there is a difference between West Coast and East Coast fandoms? And fina...

I came across this -> https://i.redd.it/khzuekic9e431.png And thought that others here might find it interesting. The original data came from https://www.geeknative.com/66694/conventions/ I don't know what anyone else will think of it, but I thought seeing the relative sizes of, say, GenCon, Dragonc...

Re: Ghibli Fest 2019
Just adding that wife, daughter and I went to see Nausicaa and all enjoyed it. I was grateful that the daughter was willing to put up with and enjoyed the subtitles, and I kind of appreciate that even now, at it's thirty fifth anniversary, I can still get emotional about it.
