Re: Blade Runner
I saw Prometheus, and wrote a review, but the computer tweaked out and I lost it. Instead of me writing it all out again, please watch my favorite review show review this movie. http://redlettermedia.com/half-in-the-bag-prometheus/ They touch on pretty much all the complaints I had of the movie, but...

Re: E3
I guess I can try downloading some emulator that would play DOS games, but again, there's the factor of not wanting to sit on an uncomfortable office chair in the den rather than relaxing on the sofa in front of the TV. You probably know this, but depending on your PC, TV, and if you have the right...

Re: What Japanese films are you watching today?
I'm watching "Legend of the Eight Samurai" http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/fc/KABD-140.jpg/220px-KABD-140.jpg Full movie on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpUamFWiPTo My Japanese pen-pal recommended it to me. Having watched the first fifteen minutes, I'm not sure ...

Re: E3
Not quite answering what the question asked, but... video games! I game almost exclusively on the PC. I do not even own a cell phone or tablet capable of running a game, nor do I have much interest in owning such. I haven't owned a console since the Super Nintendo. Once I got my PC, I never really s...

Re: Blade Runner
Really? While I am not the kind to have a totally favorite movie director in which I love all of the guy's movies and such, Ridley Scott comes close to being such a director for me. I particularly liked The Gladiator and Blackhawk Down. I am very much looking forward to seeing Promethius. If anyone...

Re: Blade Runner
I'm always on the fence about Blade Runner. I like it (as is evidenced by my ownership of the DVD), and it's awesome visually and atmospherically, but it doesn't seem to flow well to me. The pacing feels off and it seems like it drags here and there. I've never seen a Ridley Scott film that I enjoye...

Re: Guilty Pleasures
I'm a huge fan of the old Transformers and GI Joe cartoons. I picked both series up on DVD and watch them pretty regularly. The plots for most episodes are so corny that my adult brain starts to shudder, so I like to have them on in the background when I'm doing something else. That way, I can absor...

Re: Please help me with my Japanese
I sent the first couple messages in romaji because I couldnt figure out how to make the kana with my computer. Then I figured out that Google Translate will transcribe the romaji into kana for me and I copy and paste it over. I don't use Google Translate to help me put sentences together because I d...

Re: Armblessed reviews...
I realize I have read a rather grisly string of comics lately which probably gives a skewed view of my overall comic interests. As for Hokuto no Ken, it's definitely on my radar, I just haven't gotten around to checking it out yet. I've felt kinda "meh" about other things I've read by Buro...
