Snow sculptures in Tokyo

Post by greg »

With the record snowfall in Tokyo this past weekend, people took to the streets to make some awesome snow sculptures.

Attack on Titan! Snow kitties! Puyo Puyo! Snoopy! Totoro!

Tokyo hasn't seen weather like this in 45 years. It never snows in the town where I live, yet we got snow. It hasn't snowed like this in Fuji in about 23 years, we were told. This has been a rather cold winter. It took a while to get cold, but since January it's been rather cold. It snowed again just a tiny bit yesterday morning when I went out to my car to drive my daughter to her school before proceeding to my work. There hadn't been much precipitation this winter and the snow cap on Mt. Fuji was rather pathetic, but over the weekend we got more than our share of snow. I took this picture from my hobby room window Sunday morning:

The Puyo Puyo one I thought was particularly awesome!

Whoa, that cat-dude on the bicycle is kind of impressive. I wonder how they managed to do that without the guy falling over!
