Did you not read my story? You can clearly tell there is no limit. I challenge you to make your anime history dissertation longer than mine.

My heart is warmed. Thanks, all!

My problem is always the same. I get worried that I'm leaving something out, that I don't put enough background for context, that I've put TOO MUCH background in, and of course my usual digressions.

So I end up blocking myself. :)

I've long thought I should just dictate everything into a recorder and let some poor person transcribe it but man, I don't think I would wish hours of my blathering on anyone!

But the nice thing is, it looks like the 'anime origin story' gal has a good format and template that should make it all work. I wonder how she'll take to my 'catalyst anime' theory.

I'm gearing up! Stay tuned!

I'd say we all send the site owner Lauren massive amounts of letters (under assumed names of course) of recommendation to make sure that old school otakus mean business!

I did not know (or more honestly, had forgotten) that she had planned this as a 100 day event, and I think I'm outside the 100 day time. It may well be I'll end up in the slush pile of 'too bad, too late' submissions.

OTOH I note she said she sent out more requests for further details than she received (I wonder how many got sidetracked into spam or junk folders by mistake? or just stupid people not putting correct and valid contact info down)

Oh well. Time will, as always, tell.

I've been checking my spam/junk folders periodically and haven't seen anything but keep checking yours. I am sure she's looking for the best 100 submissions, not necessarily the first 100.

So, apparently response has been great! Lauren got back with me a couple weeks ago and my story was published earlier today!

Should be any minute now she'll get back to you, Steve!
