Also, have you done a decade in review? And if you miss this year, there is always the next--some people consider the year 2021 the "proper" start of a new decade, right?

It is my second year following this podcast and the second times I listened to a Year in Review. I hope you will keep up the good work in the next year!

Say, have you done anything from Masami Kurumada? I am a huge fans of his work, and I heard that in Latin America and Southern Europe he has got an enormous following. Plus I think his works are technical breakthoughs in the history of shonen manga.
Aww thank you! I'm glad you've been enjoying it!

I haven't done any Kurumada-based episodes yet, but with Saint Seiya hitting Netflix, maybe I can fit one in this year...😆

I considered doing a Decade in Review, but it'd be a LOT of work, and I dunno if I'd have the time to dedicate to looking up all the stuff that happened in the last 10 years strictly related to older anime...plus so many things happened over the last decade that it'd probably end up being pretty long, with a lot of "well, THIS cool thing got licensed....and 3 years later went out of print again...." 😅

Oh yeah, I almost forget to ask if you have done any episode on World Masterpiece Theater? I have just watched The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and I am surprised by how much I like it. I feel like more modern audience should know about these series.

Great episode as always! I actually have a friend who is into collecting cels. Somehow he got a hold of some test cels from Mama wa Shōgaku 4 Nensei. I heard that you could sometimes find these things in second hand hobby stores like Mandarake.

Also, I have just recently discovered this gallery of anime cels: http://rekka.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

Thanks! Yeah you never know what eventually trickles out into online auctions...I remember a few years back, someone dumped a whole bunch of cels from the unmade American Sailor Moon cartoon (what most people refer to as Saban Moon lol). Someone had to have been holding onto those for AGES!

Nice! There's still some really cool galleries online if you look around!

Since you have touched on this topic in the latest episode, could you maybe consider making a short episode on vendors in anime conventions back in the day? I am not really sure if there will be many serious things to talk about it, but maybe there will be some interesting behind-the-scene stuffs to tell?
