The Show Off Your Figures/Models Stuff Thread

Post by Daniel »

Got a collection of figures/models that you'd like to show pictures of?

Just bought some neat stuff?

Here's the thread dedicated to showing off all your stuff...!

(I don't have any photos to post at the moment, but I'm making this thread in case anyone wants to use it...!)

Well, I got rid of a few of these figures before we moved, since some of them didn't cost me that much money and I figured I could always replace them if I wanted. Packing up and moving to Japan really forced me to really focus on what truly mattered to me and what didn't. Anyhow, I had taken these pictures of my figure shelf several months ago to post on a video game forum where these jerks were pretending to be all macho and saying that anime figures are "dolls." Just imagine: some video game idiots on a video game forum who spend a lot of time each day posting messages on a video game forum who find it necessary to criticize others for being immature or something. I found that very ironic, so I posted these pictures just to piss them off more.

I took a picture of each shelf. You can click on each image for a larger view.

this is my Chogokin Collection. I also have a few I haven't taken pictures of yet. I also have a Revoltech collection I need to document, and some Toku figures as well.

Wow, some beautiful figures! I don't have nearly as many as I used to, since I had to sell a bunch when I moved...I do still have a few, though, maybe I'll take some pics later. :D

Greg, I have some of those same Sakura Wars ones! (The Sakura, Kohran, and Iris in their uniforms.) Totally jealous of your Lum, she's so cute! <3

I have sold many of them...mainly DC/Marvel/Transformers/Lord of the Rings/TMNT which I have sold. A lot of these were purchased when the economy was good, toys were way cheaper than they are now.

My home was starting to look like a hoarder house, so I had to sell many of them but also break a cycle of compulsive spending. Problem if one gets into collecting is if you are a completionist. I am a completionist and it really sucks, because part of you doesn't want to miss any thing in a set. So, the best remedy instead of trying to fill a hole in a set was to sell the set and gradually it became self-therapy. Lol...
