Random archive.org Way Back Machine Recommendations Thread

The roughly mid-90's and earlier (generally pre-Toonami, pre-anime boom) era of anime & manga fandom: early cons, clubs, tape trading, Nth Generation VHS fansubs, old magazines & fanzines, fandubs, ancient merchandise, rec.arts.anime, and more!

Hello all...

As the mastermind behind this affair (:-) yeah, right, everyone says :-) )

Greetings to the Illustrious Lovely Angels Mailing List!!!

First, a word of thanks to Brian Edmonds, who graciously donated the
facilities for the great literary avenue you now see before you...

Anyhow, this list is fair game for _any_ DP related items... Original
eps, movies, OAV's, fanfic, toys, games, etc... discussion on all is
welcomed! HOwever, please try not to post anything _big_ for now (like
entire epics :-) )...

Speaking of epics- I contacted Megazone (the r.a.a.s moderator and
facilitator of the WPI anime ftp site at wpi.wpi.edu) and he is probably
going to be sending us news on new DP stuff that appears there...

Also, Megazone has indicated that he is willing to send any upcoming
Undocumented Features stuff and other such stories when we get the capacity
to handle it (should be soon...)

So, let's do it! As soon as possible, I will probably be sending some DP
TV ep scripts that have been requested by email from guys who should be here
soon (right, guys? :-) )... I will send them one at the time, to avoid
excessive volume at the start here.

Arigato! Yatta! Banzai!

Gordon.

Well, since you all missed this the first time around (our fearless
leader sent it before anyone managed to get subscribed :), here's a copy
of the first message to the list, and a welcome from me.

ObRant: Net addresses are a pain. I spent all afternoon off the net
hacking my mailing list code to get it in good shape for the list
opening, but I still ended up running around for a while this evening
fixing problems. Hopefully the bulk of them should be over, as the
intrepid few who braved the opening salvo will be happy to hear.

Please send me any strange messages you may get in connection with the
list.
