Anime songs parody thread

Post by DKop »

I kinda made this to sort of put any and all videos out that parody anime intros or songs that are on the internet.

The original track for this came from Episode 21 of the Mega64 podcast, where Derrick sings the Sailor Moon theme but makes it into a podcast theme. I have decided, many years after this happened, to put an instrumental track in there to see how it would all mix. All I can say is I did my best, and I thought it turned out pretty good, but thats not for me to decide but for the audience to decide.

This next one comes from the Fast Karate for the Gentlemen podcast, where Dave Riley and Joel White do a karaoke version of the ending song to Madox 01.

It's a thing in Japan as well. I recall there was some goofy take on the Gatchaman OP song, the refrain "there is only one Earth" (repeated) gets the repeat changed, so it now says "there is only one Earth, if you break it then there's two" (don't ask me to write it out, I can barely remember the romanji for Chikyuu wa hito'tsu and I probably did that wrong) and I remember being told by a young man visiting from Japan that his schoolmates had a REALLY dirty version of the end theme for First Series Lupin III. :)

Of course the award for the best parody version of an anime song must go to Harmony Gold and their early VHS release of Macross. SSOOOLIDERS OF WARRRRLORDS OF DEEPSPACE!! MACROSS!
