What are you Watching?

Post by Daniel »

I figured that this might be a nice ice breaker, so here is the obligatory "what are you watching" thread. :)

Feel free to make posts whenever you watch any anime so that we can all know what you're up to, and hopefully find some things to discuss as well! If you've got a lot to say about an anime that you're watching, feel free to make a separate thread.

As for me, I just watched one of the original Dragonball movies (Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle). I liked the action and it was pretty funny to :)

I'm also having way too much fun with Dragonball fansub tapes. Oh my, how nostalgic :)

I haven't watched it yet, but a few days ago I was at Bookmans (local used book store) and they had a DVD of Cyborg 009, the unedited first eight episodes in Japanese! My friend bought the English-only version DVDs at a Big Lots or something, and I did not know that this series was released unaltered in Japanese. I wonder if they have more than these first eight episodes?

Is this the DVD you're referring to?

That's it. Wow, that is cheap! It looks like they just released that one DVD. That's a shame.

Watching the Japanese version 4 Episodes(English version was cut into 3 episodes).

Might pop in "Tenshi no Tagamo(Angels Egg)" or "Memories" later on.
Cool :)

What do you think of Dallos versus Dallos Special?

(I have Dallos on VHS, and Dallos Special on LD.)

I just finished watching Kujaku-ou 2. Dark spiritual fantasy. Very good anime!

Both are good though.
What's your favorite part/scene of Dallos?

Finished Kujaku-ou OVA 3. I didn't like this one as much as the first two, but it still had some really cool parts.

Aside from watching Totoro repeatedly, over the weekend my wife found some Doraemon DVDs, 2hours worth of animation each for only 900 yen each. That is super crazy cheap for anime DVDs. We've been watching the DVD we bought for our girl. They were at the Village Vanguard store, which is a real cool chain of stores. I've only seen them in the Kansai area, so we were pleasantly surprised to find one here in the Shinshuu area.

Greg's poster gave me an irresistible urge to go watch KOR... :)
