A UK Blu-Ray release of 1001 Nights and Cleopatra is coming out, which fills in the rest of Animerama on Blu-Ray.

I kept meaning to get to these two after watching Belladonna of Sadness; I guess I'll hold off until the UK BD is out (well, if the disc is region locked then I'm not sure I'll pick it up).

Sadly Mike Toole asked on twitter about that & they will be region locked :(

I'm hoping maybe once it's out in the UK, someone in the US can maybe pick it up (like maybe Cinelicious Pics, since they got Belladonna of Sadness?)

... one day I'll have an actual 4K BD Player... and a 4K HDR TV... In the meantime though these can stay cozy on my shelf.

usamimi/Anime Nostalgia has been doing a real service reporting 2018 new releases & licenses. I wouldn't know about most of these if it weren't for her bring us news here or on her tumblr. There are so many for 2018 that I can't keep them all in my head at once though. Here's a list of old-school anime I've found for pre-order on different sites:

Pre-order:
Zillion - The Complete Series - BD
Cat Girl Nuku Nuku Complete Collection - SDBD
Angel Cop - BD
Aura Battler Dunbine - BD
Patlabor The Mobile Police Ultimate Collection - Blu-Ray
Space Warrior Baldios Blu-Ray
Area 88 OVA Series DVD
Goshogun Blu-Ray
Great Mazinger Blu-Ray
Mobile Fighter G Gundam Blu-Ray
Devilman OVA Series DVD & Blu Ray
Bubblegum Crisis Blu-Ray

Exciting times!

There's also a ton of anime on BD that I totally didn't realize was out there! Lodoss Wars, Tenchi Muyo OAV, Venus Wars...I really want to go on a spending spree...

Too bad the new Cat Girl Nuku Nuku is SDBD; real BD would be an instant buy.

Yeah, I don't think a bluray was even released in Japan, so that's probably why it's not high def, sadly. :/ It's good to see a nicer re-release, at least!
