Viz also announced they'll be reprinting Junji Ito's Tomie! I'm glad publishers finally realized people will buy Junji Ito books, lol.

They also announced they'll be releasing the new Dragon Ball Super manga.

Good news all around! I may pick up the Utena manga box set, but I will definitely be reading Dragon Ball Super!

A friend of mine got to talk to a rep from Udon Entertainment about their Rose of Versailles manga release and why we haven't heard any news since they announced it....apparently they're going through some problems with the translation phase of the project (they were kinda vague about that), but hope to have the first vol released either the end of this year or beginning of next year.

I'm HOPING with them being so careful about the translation, that means that they really care about the release & just want it to be as good as possible. This is a VERY important classic title, so I'm hoping the release will be spectacular!

Woah I've been away for a bit but glad I booked the afternoon off work. so many things to read online here! <3

Yeah I hastily bought up the rest of my 1-volume Stardust Crusaders arc before they went out of print (again). Finally they've got to Dio! But kind of want to save reading it for some sort of special reading occasion?!?! :D

Can't get over the Dragon Half licensing!

Yes was wondering what was happening with RoV but I guess we have Utena to fill in the gap :D

Kodansha announced at C2E2 today that they'll be re-releasing Battle Angel Alita "holiday 2017" in new hardcover 2-in-1 omnibus editions with "bonus content"!! So exited about this, this is a series that I've been REALLY hoping would come back. We may have the live-action movie to thank for it, but that's almost worth it to get this classic back in print, lol.

So it doesn't look like they've made official announcements yet, but Kodansha will be releasing the kanzenban edition of Sailor Moon here in the US as the "Eternal Edition": http://amzn.to/2qiMoVk

If you're unfamiliar with the kanzenban efitions, they have a larger print size than the original release, with new artwork for the covers, updated art inside, and printed on higher quality paper. Kodansha's description on Amazon also mentions an all new translation, which is nice since there's a few issues their initial one had...so sounds like they're using this as an opportunity to fix it. :) Set release date is Jan 2018, tho, so quite a wait!

Kodansha also looks to be releasing the new Cardcaptor Sakura continuation manga, called the "Clear Card" arc. I've heard that this sequel isn't bad so far, and with the loyal fans the original has, it doesn't surprise me at all that the series was scooped up for English release: http://amzn.to/2pN4Mmi scheduled for a November 2017 release.

Oh and technically not manga, but Hirohiko Araki's book on creating manga has a preorder date now of June 2017! http://amzn.to/2rhzaph sadly the cover art was changed from a portrait of himself hugging Rohan from Diamond is Unbreakable to something that looks more like their current Jojonium releases, but oh well. Maybe it'll be inside somewhere
