I've been following this game since I saw it's introduction a couple years back. Looks like it's going to be fairly unique gameplay which is what I'm all about. Who else is excited about Kojima's debut game?

I'll have to get it eventually, Shenmue 3 is coming out around that time so i'll have no way to play both at the same time. I will get to it at some point, and based on the TGS footage shown with Kojima narrating the game, it looks pretty sweet.

I'm very intrigued by Death Stranding, but I'll likely wait for a steep price drop before playing it.

Had this been prior to Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain, I would have likely already pre-ordered it. MGS is my all-time favorite game series, but I was so disenchanted by Kojima's work on PP that it's personally hard for me to be excited about any of his future games.

I've been so busy, I just have not had time for another game to add to my pile...and considering all the mixed reviews, I'm still not sure. I might wait until some of my friends with similar tastes play it & share their thoughts....otherwise, I might just watch some game play footage & save some money I guess lol.

Shenmue III is coming out in a couple of weeks, and that's all im gonna play. This will be on the backburner for a while till i'll get it and i'll just hunt down a cheap collectors edition online if I really wanted it. But with Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7 Remake hitting a month apart in spring, there's no telling when i'll get to this.

As for critics it's hit or miss. From what I gather this is un restrained Kojima, which showcases an hour and a half cutscene at the end of the game from what I hear. I feel like if I play this i'll have to set aside 4-6 hours of time on a weekend to get through a fragment of the game, which at least you know you're getting a lot out of the game. I heard that the main story takes 85 hours to beat, which I think is really good seeing how it took me 105 to beat MGS5 that took me a few months to play off and on when I could.
