Victory Gundam is the one I really want though. Obviously Turn A Gundam would be great and I can get rid of my crappily subbed bootlegs, but V Gundam is one I've wanted to watch for years.

From what I've been hearing, they wanna release it all! I think they're just doing these first out of fans' yearning for them (since I know ZZ and Turn A have never gotten a proper release here.) So we should see it eventually unless Sunrise gets unhappy for some reason and pulls the plug.

The article makes no mention of ZZ, but if that's true, then I will definitely be getting it! Good news that the original TV show will be re-released, because the Bandai ones have shot way up in price due to their scarcity. I was lucky to have bought them, but too many people weren't.

Here's where they confirm ZZ: http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/main/ne ... 0000007457
Sorry, I meant to include it in the original post and forgot to paste it.

This is fantastic news!!! With the Bandai releases out of print, the prices have definitely skyrocketed. Can't wait to pick these new releases up!

Yeah! I have always wanted to delve into more Gundam, but I didn't even realize half of the DVDs came out even EXISTED back in the day because Bandai didn't do a great job promoting them...once I did, the DVDs were already getting way too expensive for me, so the only ones Nitro and I actually own are the trilogy films and Gundam Wing. XD So I'm looking forward to actually being able to support them officially. I'm hoping their releases will be more affordable than Gundam Unicorn, though. :? I haven't watched any of it because those DVDs/blu-rays aren't cheap.

Now where are all the big screen adaptations? They've had years to get their act together. What happened to the Patlabor films? The first one seemed to have disappeared. Someone on this side of the ocean has got to be interested in making a live Mobile Suit Gundam movie...

I have 'milestones' that Right Stuf has to meet for me to get really excited about this.

1. Original Gundam returns its missing episode and gets re-translated.

2. Zeta Gundam returns its missing original OP credits songs and is re-translated, or uses Neil N.'s original translation.

I suspect neither of these goals will be met, it'll take forever for TRSI to acknowledge it and the "the Japanese made us do these things!" excuse will be trotted out.

See, these are issues that matter to the customer base being asked to buy these shows. Shawn would be wise to be proactive and get in front of the issues. THIS WILL AFFECT SALES. I expect the usual games will be played.

I'm excited about Gundam ZZ. It needs Zeta to go with it.

Shawn's talked a little about it on Twitter. I think since most of the people working on the series are fans themselves, they're gonna try their hardest to do that stuff if they can. I know he's already said they want to try to get the Syd Mead interviews Bandai did for the Turn A American release that never happened.
