Devilman is out on DVD in the U.S.?! DEVILMAN?!?!?

http://www.amazon.com/Devilman-Complete ... s=devilman

Holy crap, I think I'm going to have to marry Discotek now, for doing this nonsense.

And Mazinger Z set 2 is due this month (Dec. 2014).

I need more monies.

Discotek just announced they'll be re-releasing Iria:Zeiram The Animation next year! With improved picture quality, even. Can't wait!

*pffff*

And no mention of CB Chara Go Nagai World?

The one thing that in a way paved the way for the Great Mazinger Revival?

For Shame. :)

And Lupin III Jigen's Gravestone? Awesomeness. Only thing that's kept me from buying Woman Called Fujiko is the damnable dual format release. Ups the price. Thanks, Funi.

Heck, maybe Discotek can release Toho's Gorath. Go ahead, guys, destroy my mind. Fill that gap in my library (with a licensed R-1 DVD).

I have never actually watched Iria. Oh, I was aware of this OVA since it first came out, and it always seemed like my thing, but never got around to getting a copy. The iffy quality of the previous DVDs scared me off too.

Hooray for Toei Little Mermaid! Would love to show it to nephews and friends' kids to traumatize them!

I love Iria! I've watched that series several times. I love the completely exotic and alien world they live in, and the bizarre technology. The live action Zeiram movies are fun to watch as well.

 I meant to come back and add that one, but I totally forgot to. D'oh! XD

Fujiko Mine's dropped a bit in price since I bought it...I think I paid around $50? Now you can get it for less than $40.

I'm excited for the Toei Little Mermaid release, too. That was definitely something I rented several times as a kid, lol.

*hehehehe* I picked up Woman called Fujiko for about $25. Amazon had some kind of sale or something. That's about what I feel is the 'right' price for it. It's what the price should be for a DVD (or BD) only release. I'm actually thinking of digging up a 2-DVD keepcase for the DVDs and just boxing up the BDs.

Gotta say, what I remember about it, I thought it looked better than it does. I'm wondering if Funi had compromised masters or something. It just looks...rough. Not 'artsy' rough, more like... I dunno.

If anyone still hasn't picked up the new Cowboy Bebop blu-ray set, it dropped down to $34 on Amazon! http://t.co/ITSVMdbwSj

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just found listed on Amazon this morning - Horus, Prince of the Sun (Little Norse Prince, originally released in 1968) on dvd from Eastern Star (Discotek). Released on December 23, 2014, apparently in both Japanese and English. It has some early Miyazaki animation. I just placed my order.
