Forgot to post this yesterday--new ep of the podcast is up!

This was a really great episode! You could tell that all of you really have respect and admiration for Satoshi Kon's work. This entire retrospective has really made me want to pick up some of these titles, especially those that I missed. I hope that someone rescues some of these licenses soon!usamimi wrote:http://animenostalgia.tumblr.com/post/1 ... cast-ep-21

Great job on the 2014 year in review. The results from your survey were really interesting, hope to see this happen again next year!usamimi wrote:New episode went up yesterday! http://animenostalgia.blogspot.com/2014 ... ep-22.html
2014 year in review!
Yeah, I use a different setup than standard computer mics. Since I did voice over stuff long before I did podcasting, I wanted to have a mic that made me sound somewhat professional. I ended up getting a mic that was actually intended for podcasting (though I didn't realize it at the time) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H4 ... When I finally got around to switching to Windows 7 (Windows 8 can eat a bag for all I care), I bought a new Buffalo HD webcam to go along with it because my old webcam was so crappy that my friend often joked about being able to count the pixels of my image. I figured that with the sharp image quality, the sound must be sharp, too. Nope. It actually sounds more muffled compared to my old webcam using XP. So I bought a stand-alone microphone that plugs into the input on the back of my computer. While it sounds a bit clearer, apparently PC microphone technology hasn't advanced since the mid-'90s or so. The microphone on my digicam, meanwhile, sounds fantastic.
Do you record your shows with your computer, or some recording device?
