Happy to hear that Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is finally getting a re-release and a blu-ray one at that.
However, my sights--and wallet--are currently set solely on Bandai's upcoming Gundam: The Origin release. The collector's edition is pricey but, wow, am I ever tempted. Here's the link: http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalo ... 4863/4/0/0

I have some friends that are on the fence about that one...some are gonna wait until they announce the price for the streaming rental (as they did with Unicorn), a few say they're gonna wait and see if a Standard edition comes out. Gotta say, though, the trailer looks pretty interesting!

Pre-orders for part 1 of Turn A Gundam is up now! http://www.rightstuf.com/catalog/browse ... algia-podc
Gotta say, I was expecting it to be more expensive! Good on TRSI for keeping the cost reasonable.

Nice. It's not my cup of tea but if they maintain this kind of pricepoint for Gundam ZZ (and a fixed, improved release of Zeta Gundam) I'm down for it.usamimi wrote:Pre-orders for part 1 of Turn A Gundam is up now! http://www.rightstuf.com/catalog/browse ... algia-podc

Re: The old-school anime DVD/BD news thread.
I hear Sunrise/Rightstuf are considering North American BD releases in the future for some of their Gundam stuff. I'd probably hold out for a BD of Zeta and 0079 instead, but I want to see how they will price their BDs before I make a decision on that. Since this DVD of Turn A is probably what we'll have to live with for at least 2 years, I'd probably get this release.
I'd take Victory and ZZ in any form right now though.

Me too. I have fansubs of those two shows, but I'd happily buy the DVDs once available and delete those off my hard drive.

This is great news, I've been wanting to see Turn A for years. Shame there's no dub, but I wasn't really expecting one at this point.

That price is ridiculously low, especially for a Gundam product. I'm glad they didn't waste money on a dub. I'm sick of paying for other people's dubs.usamimi wrote:Pre-orders for part 1 of Turn A Gundam is up now! http://www.rightstuf.com/catalog/browse ... algia-podc

I completely agree. Fortunately, Nozomi/RSI doesn't seem to be bothering with dubs these days and are sticking to just subs. Dirty Pair and Cobra do not have subs, and they are well-priced.SignOfZeta wrote:That price is ridiculously low, especially for a Gundam product. I'm glad they didn't waste money on a dub.
