YEAH I love how they're handling the robots!

Crap! I forgot to record this week's episode. Last week's big reveal finally explained why the Yattermen are so evil. Very interesting twist!

Well, it all comes together in the end. Unfortunately, it seems that it's only a 12 episode series. My daughter is disappointed. :(

Yeah, it was pretty short! I just finished the show and I gotta say, even with the rough animation here and there on the last ep, I thought it was a lot of fun. It had it's low points (that fish-guy episode was...uh....something), but overall I enjoyed it and the fun little nods to previous Tatsunoko shows. Dunno if I'd go out of my way to buy it if they released it, but it was a hell of a lot more enjoyable to me than Crowds was. What did you think, Greg? Other than it being short, did your daughter still like it?

I thought I read somewhere they apologized for that last episode and urged everyone to check out the DVD when it streets for the 'fixed' version.

I have to say, the disjointed nature (including cuts from the OP titles and odd re-use, plus what seemed like rough draft animatics) of the last episode actually kinda worked, kinda.

The way everyone was talking on Twitter, I assumed it was going to look horrendous, but it was passable for a TV show, I thought. There were a couple of scenes that looked a little rough, but I've def. seen worse! And I actually liked the use of cuts from the OP in there! I thought it was cute. XD

My daughter really liked the show, but she was so surprised when it just ended. She was expecting the show to be longer than the 10 or 12 episodes it lasted for. I must say I can't blame her. Since it always played Wednesday at midnight, I recorded it on the DVR and I played it for her when she was getting ready for school. When I drag her out of bed in the morning, I always shove her under the kotatsu and put on a show for her to watch while we eat breakfast and get ready. I have to admit that I was only halfway paying attention to each episode, since every morning I check my e-mail, respond to comments on my YouTube videos, IM chat with my friends in America, etc. Right now, my girl is nearly finished with the second series of Keroro Gunsou. Maybe after that ends, she'll finish the Sailor Moon R that I have recorded and then maybe rewatch Yatterman Night.

I looked for the show on Nico Douga, but it wasn't there. So all of you are watching it on Crunchyroll for free? I finally have a VPN (stupid program autoloads and runs in the background and hogs resources, so I usually shut it off), so maybe I can try to use that to watch the show subbed with my girl.

I was a little surprised with how short it was, too. The way it ended, too, I'm not sure if it'll get a sequel. (Of course, I didn't think Gatchaman Crowds would, either, and it IS getting one, so....who knows??)

Yatterman Night's on Hulu here, by way of Funimation, not Crunchyroll. I know some of my Canadian friends use Hola to "unblock" Hulu's international blocks, maybe that could work for you?

You have to pay for Hulu, right? I am so out of it when it comes to that sort of thing. About ten years ago, I had done a "rent as much as you like in one month" membership with Blockbuster. I ended up watching more stuff than I normally would, thinking that I had to get my money's worth. The good that came out of that is that I got to watch the Ninja Scroll TV series. Other than that, I didn't like having to commit to a monthly plan.
