So I am fairly new to the world of Tumblr, and so far I am really enjoying it.
Here is mine:

This page's official site: http://animepast.tumblr.com/
Usamimi's site: http://animenostalgia.tumblr.com/
Ryoran's site: http://kappacha.tumblr.com/
Blacotaku's site: http://oldtypenewtype.tumblr.com/

Here are some others I have found that are great resources for retro anime:
http://animarchive.tumblr.com/
http://oldanimefashion.tumblr.com/
http://zeonn.tumblr.com/
http://bubblegumcrash.tumblr.com/
http://80sanime.tumblr.com/

Non-anime, but cool retro goodness: http://retrodust.tumblr.com/
Retro video gaming: http://tvgame.tumblr.com/

Does anybody have any recommendations? I want MOAR!

I check this one every so often:

He writes for TCJ.com and his tumblr is largely interested in retro manga.

Wow, I've been looking through some of these tumblr sites from your list, Greg...

Man, whatever happened to Minky Momo? Looking through these old magazine articles and promotional art, I'm reminded about what a big deal she was in her day. She's been virtually ignored by the fansub community, and there's almost zero hope/interest of any NA company ever licensing the series. I think even Discotek getting it would be a huge longshot. Which is a shame, as it's a pretty groundbreaking and, the more I research it, actually a very clever magical girl series with a lot of insider-ish references and callbacks to various older anime and pop culture in general. All today's anime fans seem to know about--when they even do know about her, that is--is that infamous 'animator protest' episode where she gets killed by a toy truck.

Minky Momo was aired on either Animax or Kid's Station (I forget which) several months ago and my daughter was watching it. She sorta lost interest in the show, though. If it's really clever, then I'd need subtitles to catch references and such. To me, it just looked like a typical kids' show from the early '80s. I'm sure Dave has the true scoop on this show. It's successor, Creamy Mami, seems to be far more popular.

One of my bud's in Winnipeg is a huge Minky Momo fan. I'll have to ask him next time I'm up there...

I've actually been watching Creamy Mami on and off lately and I can see why it's more popular today with most fans because of its ongoing and more dramatic storyline, but it's still a very conventional magical girl series at the same time. Minky Momo seems far more episodic and freewheeling, but apparently there are also a lot of parody episodes referencing other, older anime. There's even an episode where Minky Momo visits an animation studio and helps out an animator there by turning into an "anime character" in a 4th wall-ish storyline.

Thanks for sharing these links; I'm always looking for quality tumblr pages to follow!

Although I must admit that I've yet to post or reblog a single thing to my own page...

Aww, thanks for including mine! I really need to update my links list, a lot of my recommended Tumblrs are dead now, lol. -_- I know our own davemerrill has a Tumblr, too! http://terebifunhouse.tumblr.com/ as well as pinkapplejam: http://pinkapplejam.tumblr.com/ And Animeigo just announced they made an account this morning: http://animeigo.tumblr.com/

Here's some faves I follow (some are run by friends of mine, others I just think are cool):
http://noise-wave.tumblr.com/
http://horrorjapan.tumblr.com/
http://eightiesandninetiesanime.tumblr.com/
http://musegaiden.tumblr.com/
http://80s90sdragonballart.tumblr.com/
http://retroanimu.tumblr.com/
http://slimeritual.tumblr.com/
http://seizeitfairness.tumblr.com/
http://otakunewwave.tumblr.com/
http://lupincentral.tumblr.com/
http://fehyesvintagemanga.tumblr.com/
http://yackdeculture.tumblr.com/
http://bubblegumcrash.tumblr.com/
http://jump-gate.tumblr.com/
http://softsubs.tumblr.com/
http://wildlikeyou.tumblr.com/

There's a lot more I follow, but I figure that's a good start XD

There used to be a GREAT tumblr called "80sjapanlove" or something that posted TONS of vintage Japanese magazine scans (not just anime/manga, but movies, music, electronics, etc) but for some reason the owner deleted it recently. :( I miss it, it had some great stuff on there.
