Labsempai, I apparently never got around to replying to your previous post. Thanks for sharing! Who signed that Macross shitajiki? I can't make out the name.

I stopped by Mandarake in the Nakano Broadway Building over the weekend and bought a couple more shitajiki. There was a nice KOR one of Madoka, but it was going for 1500 yen and I was trying to be frugal on this outing. Here's what I got for cheap instead:

I missed answering as well so...
The M:DYRL board is signed by Shoji Kawamori, mech making deity.
I need to find an outlet for shitajiki online so I can prepare for autograph sessions.

Perhaps your best bet will be Yahoo Auctions Japan and using a proxy service such as Rinkya or Shopping Mall Japan. I used to use SMJ when I lived in the States.

I went on a shopping trip yesterday to the Nakano Broadway Building, and I bought several new shitajiki at Mandarake!

Great finds again Greg; I'm not sure which one I like the most, they all look great!

I'm a dedicated Maison Ikkoku fan, so I always picked up boards from that show during cons. Here is my set of nine; the ones in the top corners are my favorites. Curiously, all of them are titled in English, even the small text outlining the story.
I'm glad shitajiki fit perfectly into hole-punched comic book protectors, so I can keep my collection in a binder.

I never tried services like Shopping Mall Japan. I see auctions posted I'd like to win, but their service fees are substantial for items (like shitajiki) under 2000Y. There is always a middle man ;)

More shitajiki photographed under bad can lights! I believe the Macross Frontier one was the last purchased at a con. In the second batch, you can see a rare board for Yagamikun's Family Situation, which is my avatar image source. I think boards became less interesting when many of the newer designs were made one-sided or translucent.
