Pretty much finished with Borderlands the Pe Sequel now that I have my character (Wilhelm) up to level 61. Only about 5 side missions remain and I did them on a lower skill level already. Moving on to Shadow of Mordor on my Xbox One. Bought the GOTY edition on sale recently.

Wow, that black & white Godzilla level with the classic music playing sounds like something I'd want to see.

I have no means of playing this game, but I've seen friends playing it. It looks interesting. Plus there's that zombie add-on to the game that looks real fun. I even got caught up watching a playthrough of that game on YouTube. My friend got a kick out of the "I blame the Mexicans!" quote from the game.

I have the first game on the PSP. I hope the second game will eventually be released. I hope they don't give up on the fact that the PSP is old hardware.

There are so few video games set in the Old West and the ones that have been made don't always get the atmosphere right. This is the first and so far maybe only one that does. I'd say that in this case the atmosphere trumps the gameplay. Some of the controls are a bit awkward. Some of it you get used to, but some parts you never truly get a handle on. Shooting while on horseback is always a mess.

But the beauty of this game is really in the experience. Sometimes you just slow your horse to a trot to admire the scenery. You could spend hours just riding aimlessly and shooting rabbits, birds and other game and soaking the atmosphere in, or you could just speed through the game and just do all the mandatory parts. That's what's great about it.

I think this game takes a lot of its inspiration from The Wild Bunch though.

Has anyone on here gotten Mario Maker? We got it a while back and it's pretty fun! I haven't had the energy to build as many levels as Nitro has, but playing other people's levels can be just as fun for me. If anyone's got codes for levels they've made, pass em along!

I just recently got Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and....oh man, I don't know what it is about these games, but they're super addictive for me! I think it's because it's so calming. The exact opposite I feel when I fail in the other games I've been playing lately. It's a nice change of pace, but also dangerous because now I wanna go buy a bunch of Amiibo cards to go with it.

I'm gonna be checking out more of the Star Wars Battlefront game this weekend since its open beta. I blew up a Snowspeeder with one of those cable tv dish laser turrents within a minute of the game, so that got my attention real quick.

Other than that, just more and more Metal Gear Solid V.

I picked up Mario Maker, but haven't had a chance to play yet. :( Still, it looks really fun! Hopefully when things slow down at work a little bit I can enjoy it!

Aww! Well, if you ever wanna play Nitro's levels, here's his codes (he updates the post periodically): http://mdiskplaylist.blogspot.com/2015/ ... evels.html

Fired up the Genesis and played a little of Treasure's McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, one of the better games based on a fast food franchise... :|

This game is easy at first, but at somewhere around stage 2 the challenge spikes in a way you wouldn't expect in a game targeted at little kids. I'm used to Treasure games being hard but they could have pulled it back a little more. It's still an interesting game with a lot of ideas and bizarre gimmicks in the level design, but you could also tell Treasure were going half speed here. I don't think they list it as part of their library of games on their website, either.

Why do I own a copy of this game? I got mostly because I'm a big Treasure fan. I've got nearly all their games. LOVE Bangai-O on the Dreamcast. Astro Boy The Omega Factor is awesome. Gunstar Heroes. Guardian Heroes. Radiant Silvergun. They always do interesting work and make great use of color (their games on the Mega Drive are some of the most colorful on the console).

Playing the Star Wars Battlefront beta this weekend. It's far more fun than I expected it to be. Not sure how I feel about the X-Wing/Tie Fighter combat yet, but everything else is great.
