I figured since it's that time again, I'd start a thread where we could share any good deals we find on anime or manga goodies throughout the holidays, since it's one of the best times to shop for physical media. Here's some good ones I've found recently on Amazon

Well, I wanted to take advantage of TRSi's sale on the Golgo 13 sets, but for some reason the site forgot I've been a customer, and it wouldn't take my password, so I changed my password and it STILL wouldn't take it so, you know, the hell with it.

Sure, they don't need my 30-some Dollars including postage but damn.

I frogged around and frogged around and somehow I FINALLY got it to acknowledge that I am, indeed, a returning customer and placed my order for the 4 Golgo 13 DVD sets. So I recant my 'to hell with it'

I suspect, and I'm way out on a limb on this but history has shown me that when a website has a problem, it's USUALLY due to the person doing the coding being a Microsoft snob and not working with pure HTML that isn't OS specific. Blah blah blah.

Thanks for posting the list!

Right Stuf has been adding some new ones over the last few days as well. I picked up the entire second season of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex for 20. I also ordered a few others, but tried not to go too crazy Right Stuf usually does another sale in December, and the deals are often pretty good.

Yeah! During their holiday sales, they usually put a few new things for sale up EVERY DAY. It's kinda crazy! So I have a hard time catching up with it sometimes. I usually wait til they're done putting everything up before I decide to buy anything or not.

Just noticed Amazon has the Cowboy Bebop blu-ray set at 50 off now, too! Pretty great deal

Rightstuf just added all of Turn A Gundam to their holiday sale today, making the entire series around 50! Not a bad price if you'd been waiting for it to go on sale.

Is there something redirecting you? I'm not seeing the 26 version off hand but the official Amazon release is here and it's 34.95 USD vs. the list price of 59.95.

If you're being sent to eBay I smell hacking or bootleg. It's just the way the world is anymore.

I saw a lot of four and six dollar DVD's at TRS. Some of them are the old anime titles. I wonder is it better to go for quantity or quality. I would like to see a great increase in my collection.

Well, suggestions.

1. Buy what looks interesting. If there's a favorite somewhere in the production music by, chara by, directed by, etc consider it before others.

2. Buy ALL of it. Every volume, even if some aren't on deep clearance. Stuff is going out of print all the time and as many of us have commented in another thread, there's nothing worse than missing a volume. It doesn't even have to be the last disc, some times the third or 5th volume will be under produced and falls OOP faster. Naturally, if you're looking at complete box sets this doesn't apply as much and the prices you cite are obviously not sets, but I'm just throwing that out there for completeness.

Thanks for the advice SteveH. I do want to make sure I get stuff before it goes out of print. I know it is no longer Christmas, but I got some room on the credit card and I may have to burn the car finance company and take the late fee this time. I still got some shopping to do. Christmas season does not end until February 1 in my mind. I still got to put up my Christmas lights. I would have started earlier, but with my car breaking down, financing a new car, and repairing my older car after an accident, I really could not start the holiday properly.

I was attaching a new rear bumper on the Buick most of Christmas afternoon. That is not to mention having to replace the car seat and the heater blower motor on the Buick this month. I feelneed more of a chance to celebrate the holiday. So, I must insist on extending the holiday. Who is with me!

Finally got my stuff. I am just cleaning up and organizing the apartment before I do the ceremonial unboxing. I really got to say that I got a real haul. Hopefully, everything is in the boxes.

I just cleaned the room and got rid of the clutter. I wanted to do lights and candles, but I could not wait that long. I just went with clean and clutter free. I go my haul prominently displayed on my floor. Almost everything is still in the shrink wrap. I am just still gawking at my haul.
