I remember seeing portions of Dagger of Kamui at an anime meeting back in 1986 and being impressed by the visuals of the action sequences along with the music. I ended up buying the movie on laserdisc on my first trip to Japan that same year, and have seen those same scenes many times. However, to be honest I’ve never sat down and watched the whole film. Crazy huh? After reading your blog post, I’m inspired to dig up the LD player out of storage and finally sit down and watch it.
