The problem with Clone Wars was it just went on and on, sorta like MASH...the real war would have ended years earlier. I think they were shooting for the 100 episodes mark to make permanent syndication. And all those characters that do not turn up in the movies. And now, ended with a lot of dangling plots.
The animation style was supposed to look like wood puppets in a homage to the old Gerry Anderson series like Thunderbirds. Speaking of which, Mr. Anderson passed away last October. That man and his productions influenced a lot of people. RIP Gerry Anderson...

Wow, that was indeed impressive. That 2-minute clip was far better than the prequels... also didn't look nearly as CG as most of the stuff being pumped out of Japan these days
