I dug around in one of my boxes of old anime fandom and found a flyer and the first newsletter for A.N.I.M.E. You might find them interesting to peruse. The newsletters were only distributed at the meetings, so I doubt anyone outside of the SF Bay Area has ever seen them.

One other comment on an old post. This picture was taken at the very first Anime Expo in 1992. Animag had a table in the dealers room and the signage from the table was borrowed for this impromptu shot with the GoHs of the con that year. The photo can be seen inset on the cover of the very last published issue of Animag in reference to article coverage of AX ‘92:
