It boiled down to her doing all the leg work and them going "Muuuh, we'll do something...whenever, just keep working for us." But that's been Gainax work style for a long time. I remember having a convo with Robert Woodhead on the Otaku no Video Kickstarter since I did a couple of the AMV's included in that asking about music rights, and his best response was "You could hear from them either tomorrow, or when the sun explodes, that's Gainax"

WELL it wasn't all just "oh Gainax will finish stuff when they want", it was also the fact that they treated her poorly because she was a woman. :p

And yeah, I heard all about that too when I also worked on Otaku no Video lol.
