I thought of another WTF Japanese band name last night: Bump of Chicken. Weird city. What are they getting at? Did they intend to mean "goosebumps"? As it is, it sounds almost like a euphanism. "When I was 14, I was in my room when Mom walked in on me when I was bumping the chicken. She left without saying a word. I was so embarrassed. She always knocked after that."

Haha, I always thought that was an odd name, too. I remember my mom giving me weird looks when I was listening to a mix CD once and a track by Yellow Monkey came on. She made a face and said something like "It sounds like a disease or something." I always chuckle a little whenever I hear one of their songs now.

Yellow Monkey? Dang, that sounds like a racial slur from World War II or something, if you think about it.

Funny you should say that, that's where they got the name....
